5 Back-to-School Beauty Tips
With fall time comes a lot of awesome things that we love, like pumpkin spice, pretty colors, an updated fall wardrobe, and of course, a new school year! With all the changes that are about to come we want to make sure that you’re ready to get back into school with these five back to school beauty tips to make sure you’re the best version of yourself!

1.Take Care of Your Sleeping Habits
It’s important to get eight hours of sleep during school because you need to get your beauty sleep in…literally! Getting at least eight hours of sleep will help make sure that you look and feel your best!
Here’s what getting enough sleep does for you according to the National Sleep Foundation:
- Healing hormones are pumped into your body and skin while you sleep to repair daily damage to your body like sun exposure and pollution. They also create new cells so you wake up looking radiant and refreshed.
- Your body hydrates areas where it’s needed to help with preventing bags and wrinkles.
- Lack of sleep can create hormones that make you extra hungry. You’re more likely to obtain and maintain your goal weight with those eight hours of sleep.
- Most importantly, you’ll show off your smile more often because sleep will make you feel happier!
2. Avoid Too Much Caffeine
There are benefits to both drinking caffeine and avoiding it. Caffeine is a common “go-to” if you have to late night cram for a project or exam. But what are some of the benefits of avoiding caffeine for your mental and physical well-being?
- Reduced anxiety
- Improved sleep
- Stronger and whiter teeth
- Better balanced hormones
- More collagen production
3. Exercising Does Wonders
It can be difficult to find the time to go for a run or lift at the gym when homework and assignments seem to take up your time during school. But if you can squeeze in even the smallest amount of time to workout, it will help you feel and look your best. Working out helps brighten your complexion because it increases circulation. When you work up a sweat it also cleans out your pores to help with better looking skin. Overall, exercise helps you feel more energetic and happier so you can stay focused on your homework and daily tasks.
4. Create a Skincare Routine
There are many reasons to create a routine rather than just picking a couple nights a week to wash your face. Creating a routine will help you get into the habit of staying consistent and being accountable for giving your skin the proper care it needs.
Skin care doesn’t have to be a hard thing to implement because you have a variety of options! You can use a combination of cleansers, toners, moisturizers, sunscreen, exfoliators, and serums. But once you find products and a schedule that works for you, make sure you stick to it so that worrying about your skin will be the last thing on your mind during exams.
5. Love Your Hair
Just like you should have a skincare routine, you should also have a hair routine! Taking good care of your hair will help you look and feel your best. Great hair habits can also help reduce stress when bad hair days come less frequently. Make sure that you are getting regular haircuts and avoiding heat styling tools as much as possible. Using a deep conditioner will help keep your hair hydrated and make sure to avoid excessive exposure to the sun. When you have healthy hair, you’ll spend less time stressing over your morning routine and have more time to focus on your studies!
