Why We Love Our Poway Location
As our corporate headquarters, you could say that our Poway cosmetology school location is the heart of Bellus Academy. In 2009, this location underwent a $2.5 million renovation. This expanded the campus to 20,000 square feet and added advanced equipment and a high-end student salon/spa.* It’s a great place for students to learn and grow as they practice their skills and prepare for a future in the beauty industry.
About Poway Cosmetology School
When students aren’t busy learning, they can enjoy all that Poway has to offer. Whether it’s a nature preserve, biking trail, park, or sushi joint, this city is not short on entertainment. Top Poway attractions include Potato Chip Rock via Mount Woodson Trail, Iron Mountain, Bernardo Winery, Blue Sky Ecological Reserve, and Old Poway Park.
“Poway, which describes itself as “the city in the country”, is both rural and cosmopolitan,” says Nicole Aguilar, Lead Makeup Artistry educator at Bellus Academy. “It proudly boasts over 60 miles of equestrian and hiking trails. Poway is known for its school system and has a local lake popular for fishing. It is in North inland San Diego County and [just] a short drive to the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park in Escondido.” For those who prefer the more cosmopolitan side of life, you can enjoy the city’s delicious restaurants and shopping centers.

Creative, clean, fun.
Why do you enjoy teaching at this location?
It is the campus I went to when I attended cosmetology and barbering [classes] so it is my home away from home.
Why would you recommend a student come to the Poway location?
The amount of talent we have at this campus and all the inspiration from the amazing staff.

Being the corporate office we are the hub for change and advancement in our curriculum.

Young, playful, and enthusiastic.

Busy, large, and fantastic.
Why do you enjoy teaching at this location?
Because of the strong support of the director team and that everything is run the way it is supposed to be (per student guidelines and curriculum).

The strength of the staff can be seen in the caliber of our students and how they excel in school, events, competitions, and placements after graduation.
