NATIONAL CITY ROLLS OUT FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM
The National City Campus has commenced their first session of Financial Literacy classes. The course consists of 5 weeks with our Financial Literacy educator Toshua Cornwell, and a final week with Career Services Representative Jennifer Tapia. The students in the class have had such an overwhelming response to this class we have multiple existing students wanting to be a part of this new curriculum of the Bellus Academy.
Toshua has made this class not only about the serious endeavors of being financially literate but she has also brought fun into the classroom. She comes equipped with piggy-banks, laminated photos, and her workout regime. Toshua dressed in a track suit to get the visual for our students to think about becoming financially fit and knowing what their credit score is. Finally, Jennifer discusses the importance of state board filing, and also how to build a resume and get a job. Our students graduate not only with the technical skills needed to succeed in the beauty industry, but the financial tools as well.
