About Our Spa Nails Program
Bellus Academy’s Spa Nails program isn’t a basic nail treatment course. While California requires 400 hours to obtain a manicuring license, our program consists of an additional 200 hours of further learning for a total of 600 training hours. The purpose is to educate aspiring beauty professionals on various spa treatments, which are necessary to know if they wish to work in luxury salons and spas after graduation.
Students will be educated on current trends and techniques and learn to perform core nail services. Beyond basic nail instruction, the Spa Nails program emphasizes techniques used in upscale settings intended to enhance the client experience. As students advance through the program’s curriculum, they will learn how to perform spa services such as aromatherapy, hot rock treatment, and reflexology for the hands and feet.
Students will learn how to understand clients’ needs to tailor treatments and create a personalized spa nail experience. Bellus Academy’s Spa Nails program includes strict adherence to sanitation and sterilization practices as per spa standards, as well as relevant California state laws and regulations. The coursework incorporates training with professional industry equipment and commonly used products to prepare students to enter the workforce with confidence after they receive their license.
