National School Counseling Week (California)
Bellus Academy is providing school counselors with some well-deserved stress relief during National School Counseling Week, February 2 to 4. Recognized as the most awarded beauty academy in North America, Bellus Academy is offering school counselors a complimentary salon service, free product samples and more.
National School Counseling Week is sponsored by the American School Counselors Association and highlights the important role school counselors can play in helping students achieve success and plan for a career.
Bellus Academy owner and President Lynelle Lynch said Bellus Academy works closely with school counselors to help students learn about emerging career opportunities in the beauty and wellness realm. “New product technologies, non-invasive procedures and a blurring of the lines between beauty and wellness are creating new career paths and school counselors play an important role in educating students about opportunities in the beauty and wellness sector,” Lynch said.
Celebrating counselors with some well-deserved pampering is also a way for Bellus Academy and its students to give back to the community.
“A counselor’s day is rarely relaxing and certainly not glamorous, but we’re hoping to change that for a few hours,” said Lynch. She added that the complimentary services and product samples recognize counselors for all they do to prepare students for post-high school career opportunities.

- Tuesday, February 2, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. 1073 E. Main Street, El Cajon
- Wednesday, February 3, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. 13266 Poway, Road, Poway
- Thursday, February 4, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. 1520 E. Plaza Boulevard, National City
More than 30,000 school counselors nationwide will participate in National School Counseling Week festivities according to the American School Counselor Association.
