New Massage Scholarship Competition
We are proud to announce the launch of a new scholarship program, funded by Massage Envy. The BCL Massage Therapy Education Scholarship will award six Massage therapy students, this first round, with a $2,000 scholarship toward tuition.
Entrants must submit a completed online application and a creative video or essay response to the question: Why did you choose a career in massage therapy and what is your vision for changing lives through therapeutic touch?
The competition, which opened today, will close September 16, 2013. All entrants must be currently enrolled in a Massage Therapy program at an AACS member school. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation for the scholarship from a school administrator/staff member on school letter head.

Poway Student, Courtney Michaelis Wins Bronze in the 2013 North America Trend Vision Competition in Las Vegas!
On Friday July 19, 2013 contestants from the United States and Canada and top hair professionals from across North America came together for an unforgettable evening at The Mirage Hotel and Casino. Over 2,000 attendees cheered for finalists competing for the Gold, Silver and Bronze in each of the Student, Young Talent and Color categories.
Bellus Academy student Courtney Michaelis blew away the judges at Wella’s 2013 North American Trend Vision Awards in Las Vegas taking home the Bronze award in the Student category. Michaelis represented the Poway campus. Michaelis competed in Las Vegas as one of 35 standouts chosen from over 900 submissions in three categories: Color, Young Talent and Student. Participants submitted their individual interpretations of one of four trends based in the theme “The Sound of Color.”
The TrendVision Awards are given to the best in this elite hairstyling competition judged by top stylists in the industry. Bellus Academy is an elite educational institute for the beauty and wellness industry for students entering the field, as well as professionals who look for inspirational and advanced training.

Career College Central’s Video Interview With Lynelle Lynch
During the 2013 Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities Convention and Exposition, Career College Central Editor Kevin Kuzma visited with a number of sector leaders at the magazine’s booth space.
